CURRENT OPENINGS: We are now in the process of accepting applications for the following positions Associate Membership- If you are already a member of a local or national citizen watch group, you can still enjoy the benefits of Border Patrol Auxiliary membership. Our goal is to provide you with the information you need to be the best you can be @Home. You’ll get the Daily Threat Report- The same document that goes to the Federal, State and local agencies each day. You’ll receive DHS approved training for Citizen Watch Groups and be recognized by the Department of Homeland Security. In fact, you will also be a registered member in the Homeland Security Policy Institute Group, one of a handful of private sector organizations authorized to use the DHS logo. You’ll receive the Monthly newsletter updating you on local and national activities and tips for securing your community. You’ll also receive a Border Patrol Auxiliary Hat with logo and have access to our ProShop to purchase other Border Patrol Auxiliary gear. Agents- For the individual who wants to take their membership to the next level, we have specialized training for the field agents. You receive all of the benefits of Associate Membership plus you can participate in Border Patrol Auxiliary activities like the Cyber Watch Group, Marine Watch, Search & Rescue, Disaster Preparedness exercises, and Border Watch. In many cases, your field experience with other border watch groups will apply. Current members or transferring members from other organizations who can verify at least 250 hours of border watch activity, and have passed a criminal background check as well as personal interviews. Allowed to wear the 511 pants, shirt jacket and hat with logo and ID card, one silver bar on lapel. Special Agents-For the individual who wants to take their membership to the next level, we have specialized training for the field agents. You receive all of the benefits of Associate Membership plus you can participate in Border Patrol Auxiliary activities like the Cyber Watch Group, Marine Watch, Search & Rescue, Disaster Preparedness exercises, and Border Watch. In many cases, your field experience with other border watch groups will apply. Current members or transferring members from other organizations who can verify 1,000 or more hours of border watch activity, and who may possess DOJ certifications in firearms, First Aid training, CCW permit, and who have demonstrated proficiency in all roles of field experience and communications center operations. Allowed to wear the 511 pants, shirt jacket and hat with logo and ID card 2 silver lapel bars. Will be promoted by BPAUX National committee. Will act as a shift supervisor during operations in the field. Chapter Leader-Current members who have been promoted by the BPAUX National Committee, demonstrated skills in border operations, setting up local chapters, selecting leaders, and training personnel. Will have responsibilities for one chapter, will also have a budget and be paid for expenses. Allowed to wear the 511 pants, shirt jacket and hat with logo and ID card, and one gold oak leaf on lapel. Non-Paid position in beginning may be funded by grants later, preferably a retired person to start with. Sector Chief-Current members who have been promoted by the BPAUX National Committee, demonstrated skills in border operations, setting up local chapters, selecting leaders, and training personnel. Will have responsibilities for one sector, will also have a budget and be paid for expenses. Allowed to wear the 511 pants, shirt jacket and hat with logo and ID card, and one gold oak leaf on lapel. Non-Paid position in beginning may be funded by grants later. Division Chief- Current members who have been promoted by the BPAUX National Committee, demonstrated skills in border operations, Sector chief responsibilities for at least 6 months. Will have responsibilities for one division, will also have a budget and be paid for expenses. Allowed to wear the 511 pants, shirt jacket and hat with logo and ID card, and one silver oak leaf on lapel. Staff roll (4) needed. District Chief- Current members who have been promoted by the BPAUX National Committee, demonstrated skills in border operations, Division chief responsibilities for at least 6 months. Will have responsibilities for one district, will also have a budget and be paid for expenses. Allowed to wear the 511 pants, shirt jacket and hat with logo and ID card, and two gold oak leafs on lapel. Staff roll (8) needed. National Executive Committee Members-Current members who have demonstrated all of the above skills, and seek to have upward mobility in the organization and who can bring new ideas and energy to the organization as well as professional business skills. Will work with the National Executive Committee in the overall executive level management plans, project directions, future strategies, future funding opportunities and other areas that the National Chief so deems necessary. Allowed to wear the 511 pants, shirt jacket and hat with logo and ID card and silver oak leaf on lapel. Staff roll. TBD National Staff Members,Professional fundraisers,Professional Marketing Executives, Press Information Officers (PIO's), Recruiting Administrators-Regional recruiter/organizers must have the field level experience of the Sector Chief, setup local chapters, select leaders, select trainers.
