Saturday- April 19, 2008 Border Patrol Auxiliary San Diego Sector is taking it's first ATV muster in Boulevard, CA. BPAUX will be searching the areas along the California Mexico border for evidence of human trafficking and drug smuggling activities and reporting these to the local Border Patrol with in the area. Our first ATV muster consisted of 5 ATV’s; the lead ATV is adapted with a special Trip Wire cutter. This unique device, developed by one of the BPAUX members will electrically cut trip wires up to the size of barbed wire that are in front of the ATV team. Drug smugglers and human traffickers have set these wire traps to prevent access to areas along the borders and to cause serious harm to Border Patrol agents and ATV riders.
