Border Patrol Auxiliary San Diego Sector is taking it's first ATV muster in Boulevard, CA.  BPAUX will be searching the areas along the California & Mexico border for evidence of human trafficking and drug smuggling activities and reporting these to the local Border Patrol with in the area. Our first ATV muster consisted of 5 ATV’s; the lead ATV is adapted with a special "Trip Wire" cutter. This unique device, developed by one of the BPAUX members will electrically cut trip wires up to the size of barbed wire that are in front of the ATV team.  Drug smugglers and human traffickers have set these wire traps to prevent access to areas along the borders and to cause serious harm to Border Patrol agents and ATV riders.

Our organization was formed to build a better relationship between the private citizen and the Department of Homeland Security, US Border Patrol, Immigration Customs Enforcement and local Law Enforcement agencies around the country.  We are a non-partisan, non-political association whose goals are to:

  1. Support the Border Patrol and other DHS Agencies in the accomplishment of their duties.
  2. Educate and train private citizens and organized neighborhood watch groups using DHS approved training resources.
  3. Provide a network of specially trained citizen Cyber Watchers scouring the web for threats to our country.
  4. Engage A Maritime Division to watch over our coastal borders and work with the appropriate law enforcement authorities in identifying suspected human &drug traffic activities.
  5. Assist the Border Patrol in recruiting top talent for field positions on college campuses and on the Internet.
  6. Support the BP Agents in the field and families of agents who have been or are being unjustly prosecuted for defending our nations borders.

We are not affiliated in any way with the US Government or the Department of Homeland Security though, our sponsoring organization, the Homeland Security Policy Institute Group is one of a handful of private sector organizations permitted to use the DHS logo and receives the DHS daily Bulletin.
